Three members of the team from Accra Indie FilmFest (AiF), a Ghanaian festival dedicated to independent short films, participated in the Clermont-Ferrand InternationalShort Film Festival (CISFF) from 3rd – 8th February 2024. The delegation included founder and director Evan Eghan, deputy festival director Daphne Atsutse and creative director Lucas Ametorwonya.In 2023, CISFF's‘ African Perspectives program was broadcast at Alliance Française Accra as part of the 5th edition of the AiF festival.
The delegation's presence in Clermont-Ferrand provided an opportunity to establish a long-lasting relationship between the two short film festivals.The CISFF program, rich in professional meetings, included the 'Meet the Festivals where AiF, alongside 14 other major festivals, presented the specificities of its event to the directors, producers and distributors present.
Evan, Daphne andLucas' visit to Clermont-Ferrand comes ahead of the 6th edition of AiF’s film festival, scheduled for 29th July – 3rd August 2024. Young short filmmakers are invited to submit their films until February 26. For more information, please visit www.accraindiefilmfest.org.
