Creation Africa Ghana (CAG), in collaboration with the International Organisation of Francophonie (OIF) and the National Film Authority (NFA) proudly announces the launch of a significant grant aimed at catalysing innovation and collaboration within the film industry.
The €80,000 grant, established as part of CLAP ACP, an EU-funded initiative, seeks to bolster co-productions among African, Caribbean and Pacific (ACP) countries. By complementing existing partner funds, CLAP ACP aims to elevate the quality and quantity of locally produced content, facilitating its entry into international markets.
Building on the successes witnessed in Ivory Coast and Rwanda, where CLAP ACP has made substantial investments in their film industries through the Fonds de soutien à l’industrie cinématographique de Côte d’Ivoire and the Rwanda Film Office, the initiative now extends its support to Ghana.
The newly launched fund will allocate €80,000 to support a feature film, TV series, animation or documentary. Creation Africa Ghana is financing half of this amount, demonstrating its commitment to fostering the growth and development of the Ghanaian film industry. Additionally, Creation Africa Ghana is contributing an extra €10,000, to fund smaller projects such as short films and TV series pilots.
