Carole Nicod
Founder, K_Line Design Ltd
Experience in Creative Entrepreneurial Space:

Carole Nicod graduated in Architecture and Design from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne. In 2010, she founded K_Line Design Ltd in Accra. Although her company is based in Ghana, she works throughout West Africa. She won a competition for low-cost housing for the European Union in a banana plantation, demonstrating that architecture can be adapted to affordable housing and serve the poorest segments of the population. At the moment, she is in charge of the renovation of the French Ambassador’s residence in Accra.

Additionally, she enjoys designing objects such as stools made from recycled wood and lamps crafted with Bolga artisans, which she incorporates into her projects.

On the global front, she was invited as a Jury member for an architectural competition on the redefinition of the Old Tirana area in Albania. She has also hosted an online webinar on the history of the architectural evolution in West Africa.
